One of the foundations for drawing, is figure drawing. In the course of my studies: I took many figure drawing courses from the University of Lethbridge.

Along with several other artists: I founded the Figure Drawing group at the old Bowman Arts Centre (now CASA). I continued my figurative studies there.

The portraits on this page were completed during the time I prepared for The Sakura Tree exhibition. This background training has serving me well, as I am preparing my next major prairie cultural series.
